The Eurojackpot Vrouwen Eredivisie and SciSports are expanding their collaboration into the 2025/2026 season, continuing to set new standards for innovation and further professionalization in women’s football. After a successful introduction in 2024/2025, all 12 clubs will once again benefit from a shared league-wide platform that seamlessly integrates video and data for enhanced match analysis, player development, and strategic insights.
Through this collaboration, every match in the Eurojackpot Vrouwen Eredivisie is captured using advanced optical tracking technology, producing over 3 million data points per match, a level of detail still unique in women’s football. In addition, more than 2,500 on-ball events are recorded at player, team, and match level, creating a comprehensive analytical framework that fuels everything from tactical preparation to long-term performance development.
All participating clubs have access to a unified SciSports platform that merges broadcast, tactical, and goal-cam video angles with precise performance data. This setup allows teams to review matches, prepare for upcoming opponents, and analyze development over time through data that is directly linked to video. Beyond supporting clubs, this shared infrastructure also enables the KNVB and other stakeholders to generate league-wide benchmarks, comparative analyses, and insights that drive growth and elevate the women’s game at every level.
Steijn Spreij, Manager Performance Analysis & Technology KNVB: “We’re happy to add tracking data to the video and event data we’ve already been collecting for the Eurojackpot Vrouwen Eredivisie. By seamlessly integrating advanced video and data, the clubs can enhance player development, gain deeper tactical insights, and continue raising the overall quality of women’s football in the Netherlands.”
“It’s truly unique to see such a rich and integrated performance setup in the women’s game, far beyond what is common elsewhere in Europe,” said Jelle Leenders, CMO at SciSports. “It speaks volumes about Dutch football’s commitment to investing in the women’s side of the sport at the highest level. We’re proud that, through one interconnected SciSports platform, we can now serve men’s, women’s and youth competitions alike and help drive the further professionalization of Dutch football.”
Lucienne Reichardt, Manager Women’s Football KNVB: “This expanded collaboration with SciSports highlights our commitment to further developing the Eurojackpot Vrouwen Eredivisie. It’s an important step in strengthening the league and unlocking the potential of every player at the highest level.”
